I have just recently been informed that the user status offline problem has been occurring on my site. It hasn't been happening in the past and I have not changed anything recently. Can anyone help with why this is happening? Thanks.

This is normally the result of any of these conditions.
1 - Your server is IIS and the header fix has not been applied. In your case we know that's not the problem.
2 - The user's browser is set to NOT accept cookies. Without a cookie, nuke cannot establish that a user is online. If this is the case, have them lower their security setting enough to save the cookie one time and then increase it back.
3 - User is behind a proxy or firewall and some kind of filtering/masking is going on.
Unless it is happening to all, or at least a majority, it is usually a browser issue for the user. Have them flush their cache and delete their cookies and/or try #2 above.
