broken links regarding images in blocks

in my storys im not getting a pic to come up what do i need to edit to have a pic show up there, and where do i place the picture? just on my public server?

If the image isn't coming up then you have a path issue. Typical code would look like this

This is my story text. Here is an image for my story <img src="/images/SOMEIMAGE.gif" />

The story would expect to find the image in the images folder.

umm where or what file do i need to edit?

Your story record. When you add a story it gets listed in the admin panel. There is an edit and delete option. The Nuke Manual link in my Site Navigation block is an excellent resource also.

isnt there a default setting for these pics in teh blocks? i was thinking that mine didnt unload properly im still confused how to access the block info to add in teh pic path to that broken link. i know how to add html and post the pic

ive looked every where , but im clue less lol i shoudl have stuck to basic html and tables lol.

ive looked on other nuke sites and the have that same path then the .jpg that shows

A news story is not a block. When you add a story, you select a topic and nuke adds the topic image link. If you want to add a separate image it is just simply adding a standard html img tag. To access a block you edit the block file stored in the blocks folder.

yeah gotcha hehe, im in php admin looking in _topic im trying to find how to link the default topic link cause i deleted teh php one that was there first .. oops Razz

lol got it to work, not really sure how topics tie into everything but i will learn
