Bad bot trap.

I would like to see a bot trap such as:

Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registered or login to the forums!

Although I would not have it ban the user agent as most are mozilla and are spoofed anyhow, but I would like to have it auto ban the IP.

That is a nice script, however, if you turn the Harvester blocker on, it does what the .htaccess method explained in the article does. You could even use his exhaustive List of Bad Bots to update your .htaccess.

I'm not saying no to your suggestion. It's a good one. We just need to program it in a way to avoid duplication with what we already have Smile

See, what this trap catch's are user agent's (most likely spoofed) that are NOT on the harvester list.

Most are legit UA's
