Other Admin Abilities

I am setting up a site and added someone to a Super Admin and they can't access the "edit admin" area. is there any way with Sentinel to allow them that ability?

Tizwit, I just tried to log in as Raven on my site, and I just banned him!! Haa Haa.... actually, he is a protected admin, so he really isn't banned but I see what you mean.

The whole point to the AUTHOR Blocker Settings is to protect your site from new admins to be set up by anyone other than the "God" admin. Are you sure you want to allow others to set these up?

To be honest, I do believe it would be a worthwhile enhancement in that a SuperUser should be allowed to do anything... again, JMO. I am going to move this thread to the Enhancement Requests forum for Sentinel. If you object, I can move it back.

I am setting this siet up for a group that I am not directly with. I am just hosting the space and helping with tech stuff. I thought it would be nice for them to make their own admins. lol

Tizwit, You may have to change the password on the God admin and give that to this "group". The other alternative is turning off this blocker. Let us see if Raven or others chime in. If not in a day or so, maybe PM Raven to ask him to look at this thread.

I would hate to bug raven if he runs across it that good if not thats fine. If they need someone added in I can do it for them.

Ok. But, I do think it has merit. I can certainly see this being an issue both from a "hand-over" standpoint as well as on-going support. I would think it be useful to make a check for "SuperAdmin" and basically allow them to do truelly anything within the nuke installation. However, continue to make it difficult for anyone to "hack into" the nuke_authors table to add a SuperUser.

You can have multiple God accounts. Just change their name in the database to God
