When I initially setup the new distro, the httpAuth worked great.. after uploading and getting everythign back in line with the old site, the httpAuth has quit. I can get right into the admin file without the popup and same with my other admins. I've chmod'd and chown'd myself to death. I did modify the main theme from the old version to show the right blocks but I havn't edited much beyond that. Any suggestions? and yeah, i've read every topic in this forum for this.. and will start the NukeSentinel forum now as well, just in case |

Sorry if I'm being too rudimentary, but are you closing ALL instances of your browser, in between logins? That's (essentially) the only way you can kill basic auth... |

yeah, done the whole close all browser thing, even rebooted to a different operating system and browser, same thing. I've chmodded, checked directory.. so far, no logical reason I can see. |

yeah, the Admin Auth is all setup, I used it the first few times it worked. Not a problem in there. |

What happens if you change the passwords ? Make sure that in your database the table nuke_ nsnst_config http auth is set to 1.
I had a crash and that changed my settings. |

i had to do it twice, and double check the path to the .htaccess file, but manually enabling it through the db worked, thanks Susann!
however, now its just bouncing me back to the http auth prompt.. i'll keep workin on it, I think thats a permissions/ownership issue.
Update:
My mistake, wrong password did that.. I'm in, and http auth is up! thanks for all the help. |
