I just threw up the "out of the box" zip of the stand-alone guest book app on my server and with no configuration changes. While trying to post a new comment on the book, I am able to preview the post, but after submitting the post, I am presented a blank page instead of being redirected back to a refreshed view of the guest book (like the demo version on your site does).
Since this is an out of the box installation with no modification or initial setup, I am assuming that there must be a server issue... I ran your "syschk.php" utility and all appears to be well...
I have since simply made changes to user.prefs file to lock down admin access and change the default url and admin email. No other changes to this file have been made.
If you would like to view the behavior I am describing, please try to submit a post:
Are you using a bug tracking system? I've been hunting through the forums hoping that I haven't submitted an already known issue.
Thanks for you assistance,

Back down to PHP 4.3.9 and see if you still have the problems. 5.0 is not [yet] a production ready release. I have not 'certified' my applications with 5.0 as will be the case with many applications. There are known backward capability issues, by design, with 5.0. |
