Private Messages in a new window ?

I was surfing around last night late and signed up for a site to look for something in the download section. When I signed up It took me to the default your account page and as I logged in a new window popped up telling me I had a new private message. It asked me if I wanted to read it in that window or go to my in box. I opened it there and it was simply a general welcome to my site and here is the rules stuff. I closed the box and went on my way. This morning when I woke up I thought that would be a cool idea and went looking for it. Well it was late, ee erases my history and all my temp files when I shut down and I have no clue where I saw it. Anyone know if that was a hack or a feature of some sort of modified block, module?

I think it has some cool possibilities.

You are talking about two things:
- A PM on registration
- Reading the PM in the popup window
Now the question is:
Wich one are you after??

LOL,

Both would be cool but I could live without the pm on registration, since the site is closed to registrations and they get all the information they need when I send them the login information. So I guess what I am interested in the most is the new window thing. I have been messing around this morning and can’t come up with it on my end. The thing that I was most impressed with was that it did not just open a new window as a duplicate of the site; it was just a window that had the PM functions in it. Hope you know what I am talking about.

an it was a nuke site??
I'll look around if I can find something, but never saw it before.

Yep.

I was surfing around last night following a trail of links while looking for blocks and mods. I forget where it was. I have seen it on non nuke sites before too. I will try to back track my surfing but I was at it for over 3 or 4 hours and just have no clue where all I traveled.
