Seems I've hit a serious roadblock...
I've followed instructions to:

download php-nuke 6.9
copied files to my linux server running php 4.1.1 and mysql
ran nukesql.php to set up database and tables...very helpful tool!
ran analyzer.php to give me a clue about why I'm getting this message when I run

Warning: Failed opening 'db/mysql.php' for inclusion (include_path=':/usr/lib/php/pear') in /tmp/disk/home/lbcaonline.org/Files/WWW/db/db.php on line 53

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: sql_db in /tmp/disk/home/lbcaonline.org/Files/WWW/db/db.php on line 86

I set permissions to the main folders to 777 and the db files to 666...
I also set permissions for the main files in the root to 666...

WHAT AM I NOT DOING CORRECTLY? Please point me in the right direction, or better yet, tell me what to fix...

Thank you so much...I'm learning the best way possible...trial and error...and lot's of the latter...

Make sure that config.php is in the same folder as mainfile.php and that it has the correct permissions.

config.php and mainfile.php are set to 666 and are in the same folder...I cleared the cookies and started a new browser window, but got the same message?

Are you sure your database is installed correctly? That error [usually] means that the config file is not able to reach the database. Are you sure the dbuser has permissions to access that database? Can you access the database through phpmyadmin with that user and password?

Does it matter that I am using a dynamic dns? Also, I'm using Opera as a browser...I think I'm clearing the cookies when I go to file, preferences, and choose "empty now" for the disk cache...does that sound right?

Well, you'll get that at all nuke sites. It should be /admin.php.
