Ok this has to be solved.(link are edited again, the topic was to old)
In my htacces i have :ErrorDocument 404 /errordocs.php?e=404

Now lets try this:
Go to :
Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registered or login to the forums!

Then you see that it works and that it gives a custom 404 error with text..

But when you go to:(doesnt excist)
Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registered or login to the forums!

It shows the custom 404 error but completely wrong.
You will also see that the url stays at:

You have to try it yourself, then you know what i mean.

Now the weird part..
When you tried it with:http://www.hitwalker.com

Did you noticed the lines that said :"tried to load /jhdshjdshdhsjhds.html"

Well now,if i change the url in my htaccess to :
ErrorDocument 404
Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registered or login to the forums!

Then it works fine suddenly BUT...the line that shows the requested page....now suddenly DOESNT show the requested page anymore but the errordocs.php like:
tried to load /errordocs.php

Any clue whats wrong or better, how to solve this.

Dont have a clue mate but do you think it might be something to do with the different url paths - perhaps you might have to create errordcos for each directory?

Do you have any other redirections operating or anything else in htaccess relating to error docs for example for google tap?
Sorry I could not be more help at this time.

Check to see if there are sub-domain rules setup for those directories. If so, you'd need to create new .htaccess rules for those sub-domains and add a rule to the primary domain .htaccess that says:
Code:
Options +FollowSymLinks

Hi steph,

Well as far as i know off there arent any.
But let me ask you this.

Do you know Diserrors from disipal ?
That works perfectly and then i DONT have that problem !
Whatever you type to whatever folder...if it doesnt excist then diserrors takes over.

So both use the some like :ErrorDocument 404 /errordocs.php?e=404
But diserrors is very simple,it shows a 404 text and thats it.
It doesnt help the webmaster at all in following up on a error.

So thats the difference in how both work...
If you want me to active diserrors so you can check it out yourself just say so.
