I realy thought this wasnt going to happen anymore but it did..
As we tried to help a member here of the site i find myself working on someones site and on a job "he" has to pay me for.

The site site in question is :http://www.bakerpro.co.uk
But the phpnuke part was..(but still is)

Imagine that your busy for 5 hours installing/editing/uploading etc...
the guy is just 16,has very litle knowledge of phpnuke and therefor i did all the work..
Without any doubt i made it clear this job was gonna be a paid job and that wasnt a problem.

But as he had to get some funds on his card to pay me on paypal he asked if i could wait till tomorrow(that is today now)...
He even uploaded a theme completely wrong resulting in a blank site..
I even fixed that as he asked.

anyway..i did and i had some bad feelings about it when i didnt get any payment in the morning.
And i waited all day for his respons and/or money but nothing untill the end of the day when he came online ...

When asking where the payment is he said he was gonna do that right now.
But i think he never did...
He said he did paid and showed to what paypal address,it was correct but with misplaced letter.
I said paypal never accepts any payments to a non excistant account.
Then i warned him that i want the payment..
But he didnt care...
So yes again trust is damaged...but this time by a piece of ... coming from the uk..
If theres an english member reading this ,do contact me for any guidance clearing this up...
whatever it takes...

Thats too bad. But you should have either asked for it or part of it up front. It is just to easy for people to do that over the Internet.

well i was just busy to help him with a litle thing, but ended up doing a big job.
but since he's about to move around in phpnuke community i warned him this will definately trashes any chance of getting online without any worries...
Would you let it go?...i dont think so..
But its not something we should just accept..

hitwalker...Congradulations m8....
This is the 1st time I have seen such a thing published, and there should be a d*** sight more of it.
There are lists/publishing of spamers, copyrights removed etc, not honouring finacial agreements rank up there with those.
I have never had a bad debit in my life, thats nearly 35 yrs of adult life.
I take a very dim view of those who do not honour their intentions without very good reason...
Over ther yrs I have run serveal of my own companys, ranging for landscaping design, fiberglass moulding factories, and computer hardware.
One thing I have learnt over the yrs...TRUST your instincts, the more u do it the better they become.
To often one may say or hear a friend say "I had a bad feeling before...."

Very unfortunate, but not at all uncommon, unfortunately. This is the very reason that I always now require 100% paid in advance. No if's, and's, or but's, unless you are a proven client of mine. I would ask that we don't badger him, at least not yet. Let's give him a few days to think about it and to respond to the allegations. Thanks.

well thanks for the patch steptoe but this means more to me then just a missing payment...
it also means that whenever i wanna buy something or pay someone for help / work i have to do that with my paypal account.
the damages for me is 55 usd.
But the scary part is ,is that they choose to have a enemy for life for just $55.
but thats fine...ill do anything in my power to convince him in paying me.

(edit : well raven i knew you were gonna ask that but dont think he will reply to this, thats not gonna happen..)

No,i havent done anything.

But you CANNOT send a payment to a NON excisting paypal address !
And why should i accept space ?
I have a huge account of myself and i have no interest in accepting that.
And like you said on msn,ive got someone now who does it for free.
So i have all reason to believe your intention was not paying me at all.
Why?
Cause i expected it in the morning...
But no payment...
Instead you screamed hell because you messed up your site by uploading a new theme completely wrong...and had the NERVE to ask me to fix it.
I even did that..

Did you pay then?
NO !!

well as far as i know off it will show a message instead.
the only payments that cannot be verified are to a bank.
they warn you that if the money bouches you pay for it..
And raven maybe you give him a lot of credit but he should have paid me this morning...

he went to bed or offline at 23:00 europe time.leaving me finishing it all.. Sad
In the morning (so 8 or 9 hours later) he should have paid but he didnt,INSTEAD he maild that it all wasnt working !
What he did?
He uploaded zonecopper...who knows the theme knows its packed with extra's.
So upload it like that and setting it in the default trashes your site.

To continue...

Now were actualy 24 hours later raven,....

Paypal may reject it but it's AFTER the fact. It has no way of verifying it until it tries. I'm not taking sides nor am I giving him credit. You publicly accused him, which I don't like, but I chose to leave it as many had already read it. This was a private matter between the 2 of you and 24 hours is hardly enough time to settle a dispute. In any event, after I read it, I contacted him personally and appealed to him to try to make this right and he responded in a matter of minutes. That shows something, in my book. He has admitted that you should have been paid and he has said he tried. Now, let this rest a bit and see if he does what he says he will do, which is to pay you to the correct address.

Nick, are you now saying that you will not live up to your end of the agreement?

Contact PayPal immediately and get them to cancel the transaction. I am going to lock this thread in a few minutes, so any further debate needs to be offline.
