There are several core tables that have changed between 6.9 and 7.0. I would not expect it to work much past the initial screen though, if at all.

Thanks Raven! Along the same lines, silly question probably I am known for them, if I want to close my site and kick everyone off that is currently on. How can I do that? Can it be done?

Yes and there are several ways. Question is, how much effort, how polite, so they need to know why, etc. The quickest and surest way is to use .htaccess and only allow your IP address - That's a harsh but sure way. Since most modules call header.php, you could place code in there that checks the IP and if it's not yours redirect them to a softer, more gentler page that explains you are down for a while. This will trap most urls, but there will be a few that may get through the cracks but they would have to be specially crafted.
