I have 10 existing registered users on my new website.

Subsequent to those 10 people regitering, I have just added a field and in the Status colum, I have chosed the option 'Need To Register', (which means that from now on, any new members signing up, MUSt complete that feild, which will be visible on the user registration page).

However, although I note that this new field IS now included on the existing members 'Personal Information' panel/page, (as seen when clicking on the 'Personal Information' panel' 'change info' link), the user is unable to entre anything in the new field.

What gives?

Haven't tested that (I've never needed to change fields after going live...). It may be expecting that information is in those fields. You might try using SQL to generate blank fields for a new user and see if that resolves it.

Thanks Kevin but I dont know too much about SQL to start messing about with it just yet.

However, the point I raise is clearly a bug and it shouldnt be like that, hence it should be delt with. The specific and (obviously) problem is that people who are already registered may try to entre the information and will not be able to do so.

There must be a solution.

Anyone know what it is?
