Hi Gcf, How has Php-Nuke 6.5 been working out. I will be upgrading in the next week or so when I Know all the blocks I currenty use work with 6.5. I see KISGB is now updated for 6.5.
I noticed you no longer have a chatroom, or I can't find it. I also miss your shout box.

Hey Roy! The chat block was a disappointment and the shoutbox was causing too much of a delay in displaying the page. So, for now, I'll just use messaging. Hope you're doing well.

I upgraded webchat to spchat and it seems to work much better.
I found the shoutbox can be a dispay hog, but by deleting the older shouts in the db it speeds it up. Once I upgrade to Php-Nuke 6.5 or Postnuke, I will change the shoutbox code to only display the last few messages and maybe transfer the older messages to another db or something.

Personally, I was not in favor of rewriting everything to revolve around phpBB. Don't get me wrong, phpBB is very nice, but, as I said before, I think that was a wrong direction. A portal/cms is the structure, not the all-in-all. It should house the applications not tie you into it. Having said that, it works very well. There have been several issues for many people upgrading, especially if they had a separate forum to migrate. I was one of them and I finally gave up and just started my forums over.

I'm not very happy at all having the incorperated forum's either. I will not be using the phpBB. I already have the Discus forum and will stick with it.
I will be setting a a test site using a seperate db for test before upgrading to which modules and blocks arebroken and need to be fixed.
I agree Php-Nuke should only be a cms. I not sure what the future of Php-nuke will be if it becomes an all in one.
