phpnuke 7.6 vs phpnuke 7.6 platinum - what's the difference?

I've just looked at 7.6 Platinum and I'm curious:

What beneifts, other than what's listed for 7.6, would platinum have over phpnuke 7.6?

Why would I want to switch to platinum?

Why should I stay with nuke?

What compatibility/issues would I have if I switched?

What are the opinions of people who have switched to platinum or switched from platinum?

Is it even worth it to switch?

Is there anything else out ther worth considering or is phpnuke the best free out there?

I want opinions on why I should or should not go with platinum. I don't care what positive or negative is said - I just need opinions as its something I might consider but I need to know if its even worth it to.

I really like regular nuke but I need input. TIA!!!

Stick with PHP-Nuke 7.6. The platinum project is dead and the files are not being updated including important security and forums updates.

Platinummods is offering security patches for it, but I would have to agree that the project is dead. Techgfx site hasn't posted any updated progress reports in months.
