new user activation error

ok, everythings been ok for people signing up till today, then i made some test accounts and i cant complete the activation, i get as far as clicking the confirmation email link which takes me to the profile fill out page, then i get

New User Activation Error

i am guessing this COULD be something to do with the settings i've changed in users configuration in cnb your account ( version 4.4.0 b2 on php nuke platinum 7.6) i changed some settings in there today to allow the sending of forgotten passwords,so maybe i accidentely changed the wrong thing too?

does anyone know how i can fix this? or what the default settings are in users configuration, so i can undo what i may have done?

ok, i just upgraded to to the latest your account and it solved the activation problem, but now all the content in my pages is blank Sad

just the content area, the menus etc are still there, any suggestions? ? thanks!!

ok i managed to somehow downgrade back to the old your account version by following these steps

and did some test sign ups and everything was ok for a while, now i tried another test sign up and i have my old problem back again! Bang Head

please help
