I set the preferences in the Admin Menu in order to visualize 5 news on the home page. Actually I can see them 10! Shocked
Anyone knows why? Confused

I just tested mine (Stories Number in Home) and it changes w/o any problem. Just as a test, change your theme to DeepBlue and change the setting. Did that work? Make sure that you are not over-riding it. In Preferences, do you let users change News number in Home? And have you maybe changed it there?

You got it, Raven! How can I prevent users from changing news number in home?

Another question related to this: may I deactivate the whole "Your Home" section?

And finally: do u think broadcast public messages may be a good service for users? I don't think they're so useful... how may I deactivate them?

Change the setting to NO in Preferences.

If there's no abuse just leave it. Otherwise, deactivate it in preferences.

I'll look into that.

OK. Curiosity:What's the "headlines reader" in the preferences? Is it related to the BM?

Goto Your Account and you'll see the Headlines Reader. That setting controls that option.
