Error when trying to delete someone from forums

I entered the user management screen and checked the box to delete user and hit submit and was presented with this error

Known phpbb problem and I'm not sure if there's ever been a fix for it. If this user has any special priveledges or is in any special groups, you might try removing him from those groups first. Did the system delete his user id anyway even though it complained?
