Is there a way, or an already made version of a slimmed down phpnuke. I dont mean featurs, i mean sql. I have noticed that some CMS use only 5-10 sql Queries, while phpnuke canuse up past 80. I belive this is why many hosts are banning phpnuke. I know about 3 now. Lifless People, Gamingsource and one other i cant name ATM. If there was a way to slim it down to half, im sure sites would run faster, less bandwidth consumed, and overall a better experiance.

Im wondering if NSN-Nuke may be more efficent. But if there is a way to trim and slim, lets get a Richard Simmons for phpnuke!

None that I know of. Obviously, you are somewhat in control of how much you put on each page. If you are using many blocks and modules every time your page loads, then those are many calls to the database. You would have to redesign the blocks to be 1 super block that encompasses all the needs of all the blocks to streamline it to where it would matter.

Personally, I think if sites are banning nuke, then they have a misconception of the issues and resolutions. They probably haven't tuned MySQL and/or their servers to properly handle the load. They also are probably not using load leveling and other things to balance the loads.

I haven't heard of any serious and mainstream hosts that are banning nuke. There may be isolated instances but it certainly isn't mainstream. I would switch hosts if they can't handle nuke, not because it's nuke, but because nuke is small comapred to other major applications.

Just my opinion.
