The smilies dont animate on my forum anymore for me, they do for everyone else.
And on all the other forums they animate for me, its just mine that have died.
I've got the latest release of Java and the Final Fire Fox but they still dont work.
They work in internet explorer tho.
Anyone got any clue to why they wont work for me? |

Just a matter of clarification. Smilies don't use Java, so that doesn't matter. There is some Javascript, but that comes with the browser. In FF, are you getting a Javascript error? |

They work fine in IE on my site tho.

I had the same thing happen to me once. Delete the cookies and temp files. Then revisit your site. Fixed my problem. |

That was what I was saying in my previous post. Firefox is weird sometimes...if it doesn't fully load all images the first time (i.e. an animated fif) it will load the incomplete version stored on your hardrive, EVEN when you click reload page. A quick deletion of temp files AND cookies (dunno why you have to delete the cookies too...) my prob was solved. |

I emptied my cache and cookies and temp files and it didnt make any difference on my site. Its only my site that it happens on lol
Although one smilie did work, after emptying everything.
I guess i'll have to put up with unanimated gifs on my site from now on. At least all the other users see them moving lol
Thanks everyone for your input. |

The only problem I have is when composing a thread/reply, after selecting one .gif, they all stop animating on me......annoying..... |
