Adding a Pic to the backgroun of a block

Ok i want to add a pic to the background of my block. I don't, well have no idea on how to do this. If you can point me in the right direction on how to do this that would be oh so sweet.

Create a table that wraps all of the code and define its height and width the same as the image and use and us an inline style like this:
<table STYLE="background-image:
url('your_image.gif');">
Depending on the block you might just be able to add the style to an existing <table depending on the table layout. Otherwise you might have to wrap what is existing with a new one.

K ive decided not to add a pic right now. But i want to change the background color. where would i find the place to change the background of the inside of the block?
