CNBYA Fields Question.

I am using CNB_Your_Account_750_440_beta1 and what I would like to do is have a field (which I have created as a security question, and appears correctly on the registration page) show the new users answer displayed in the list pending users section.

To explain it a little better...

As far as I can see you can only check a new users field entry by looking at their details once they have been approved or by looking at the cbn_field table. Which is cumbersome and not much use.

All I would like it for the result to be displayed along side their username in the table on pendingusers.

Even better would be for the field to be used as a password and would only allow registration if correct answer is entered.

I was using the approve_membership module but I found that it breaks your ability to upload avatars, hence why I would like to do the above.

Any help guys would be greatly appricated.

So basically you want there to be a 3rd option "Reg Run" and if its active the user must answer the question in order to activate the users account?

Not a "Secret Question" like your pets name as a method of password retrievel.

I don't see a huge demand for this option but it could be done. You might find it easier to make it a pre registration question page like we did with the COPPA and TOS which would be a lot easier to do then editting the add fields section to allow another option.

All i want really if the field to display in the table on the pending users page along with the other details (nick, email, regdate modify acivtate etc). That way I can quickly check the answer they give and that will allow me to activate or deny their accounts.

At the minute I have to goto phpmyadmin to check thier answer before i activate.

I know it can be done with probably 2 lines of code, but since I know fek all about php I cant do it myself...yet.

I see so you'd be happy if the modify waiting user page showed the answer then instead of just the default fields. This makes more sense to me now. I'll see if we can get this into the next beta slated for release within the next week give or take.

Hi StrontiumDog,
You might want to install CNBYA 440 beta2 as the waiting-user section is totally revised. It has become much easier to see pending user details before you validate them.
