It seems that when I change the order of the news it does not change the order which the old articles show up. So what you have is a mismatch between the front page and the old articles block.

These are 2 different applications. No attempt was made to sync them. The request that drove the hack was that when people are looking at the home news content that they would see a prioritized list.
