well....nuke 7.0

So far it's been okay i guess (nuke 7.0) only a few bugs, but I fixed them all up by reading the post from Chatserv at nukecops. Only 1 bug left I'm still trying to fix, when I go too my admin control panel and click on prefrences and try to change something, lets say number of stories on home page from 10 to 5, then at the bottom i hit save changes and it take me to my index.php (home) page, and does not make the changes. before after I hit save changes, it used it stay on the prefrences page and it also made the changes lol.......... oh one more thing I added the quick reply box to my forums, after i install it, i noticed i lost the forums@ (the one when you click it, it opens a small pop up), from the bottom right of the forums, what files is that located in, so i can fix it.

I D/L and installed the 7.0 from here and have tried to find bugs, but so far, it works better than any previous version.

Been playing around with it and 1 at a time, added:

Admin security fixes
GoogleTap (GT 10-22-03)
MS-Analysis 1.1
Protector 1.14
Top-Sites 1.1
4nGuestbook
Coppermine 1.11D

So far, so good. Gonna watch it and see what happens.

I'm installing the latest 7.0+ I downloaded from here too, it should be done sometime today after lunch and a nap. And I can hardly wait to see what the diff is from 6.9.

I'm assuming that avatar thingy is fixed?

First bug fix is that avatar thingy.

hmm... the basic site is loaded... still a zillion miles of configs to do.

Darnest places where people put their energies, eh? I don't know FB, but he must be distracted by something else to have not fixed the obvious.

Raven... can you take enlighten me about my workaround for this whole user profile is a mess thing. For the user I just change the Your Info Link to the Forums profile editor. That rules out any confusion for them.

But what about the admin user edits? two forms all writing to the same db nuke_users and playing nicely with all the mods? This all works, right?

In response to the first post by Savent, i have seen saving Admin/Prefs go to the home page
and not save anything instead of saving and remaining on the page if i have
the word "script" somewhere in the footer text boxes on that page.
