All you need is a good text editor. Stay as far away from notepad and wordpad as possible. I use Textpad, but there is a one time $27 charge if you decide to keep it. It does not cost you to try it out, however. It is a programmers editor, to be sure, as it recognizes several languages for key words, hilighting, etc.

In the drop down menu, it doesn't have php listed as a file choice. Do you just name it myfile.php and save without selecting a file type?
