Tested Sentinel

I decided to test Sentinel and came up with the following results:
If I am logged in to my site as Admin in another window and test Sentinel, I get the banned window with this error on top:

Warning: fopen(.htaccess): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/*edited*/public_html/includes/sentinel.php on line 495

Warning: fwrite(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/*edited*/public_html/includes/sentinel.php on line 496

Warning: fclose(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/*edited*/public_html/includes/sentinel.php on line 497

and the IP does get added to the database.

If I am NOT logged in as admin and test again, I get the banned page, without the error message, but the IP does NOT get added to the database.

Have you chmod your .htaccess file to 666?

And because of that, Sentinel didn't write any of the 29 blocked IP's. Will I have to add them manually now?
