I am looking to add a block with top ten standings pulled from HTML page locted locally. The HTML page is updated once a week manually.
Here is a link to the standings
I would like to pull the top 10 : driver name and points behind.
Part 2:
Can I make a block for series directors to up load there HTML standings. This will easy the load on me having to update them via

Well obviously this will have to be a custom job.
The answer to #2 is most definitely. What did you have in mind, a MySQL table? Potentailly then, you could construct your page from the tables that are loaded, either in place of or in addition to your static information.
The block to pull the top 10 can either be pulled directly from the finished page like what is in your link, or if all the info is stored in a table as mentioned above, it could be pulled from there.

Nice BUT i have gotten that far.
I was trying to pull just the driver and the points behind.

But I am stripping off only the top 10 drivers from YOUR site (live). Extrapolate that to understanding it a short step now to pull only the columns you want. I give you a Proof of Concept. |
