User registration problem

hi
when we have a new user sign up, they get into the user database, but the send mail fails to send them the Click me to finish registration, or at least i think thats the problem.

saving admins doing it for them. is there a way to test the user registration form for any errors ?
i tried to test it already with a new user but failed to find the cause.

Not sure, but I seem to remember reading around that tegonuke Mailer will solve this.
