I have no problem adding Moderators, and everything works fine.
The problem comes when revoking Moderator status for a user.
I go in to use permissions in the forum and change Moderator status to Not Moderator click submit, but the changes are not saved. I've tried changing it in the database from 3 to 1, but the users name is still showen in the Moderators list on the forum, and as a Moderator in user permissions.
The only way I can remove them is to change the user ID, but that then loses the links to all the posts that user has made in the forum. |

Make sure the user does not have privileges in "User Permissions Control" AND "Group Permissions Control" |

"Group Permissions Control" look to be correct, but "User Permissions Control" still show "Is Moderator".
When I change this to "Not Moderator" and click Submit. I then get an information window saying "Permissions have been updated", but when I go back and check. It says the user is still a Moderator. |

If you are using Firefox, you may be getting a cached version of the page.
If that is the case, try another browser or look at the client and server side fixes here

Thanks spasticdonkey.
I tried two other browers IE and Chrome, and get the same result.
Even after I can changed the users_level in the database to 1. It still shows the user on the forum as a Moderator. Are the user_id that are Moderators also stored in some other area in the database? I've looked but can not see them if they are. |
