I have an interesting issue that I need assistance with. I have a fresh install of Raven's enhanced and secure phpNuke 7.0, using a database from 6.8. I know everything was installed correctly, because I paid a very smart person to install the Nuke and the database (I am not naming names, but he owns this site Wink ).

My issue is this--one registered user comes up as "Guest" when he posts. He just started posting again, and I have not come out and asked him who he is yet. He does not have an avatar, nor does he show up in the members lists. I know that I should be able to find out who he is through the mySQL tables, but I am not sure which table to look into. I also need a way to fix this issue, so that my other registered members do not get upset that a guest is posting.

Any ideas? I am pretty good at finding things like this, but have been a bit stumped. I checked some of the other forums, and have not found any answers. Here is a list of what I need:

1. What tables to look into for his ID--I tried looking at the bbposts_text table, but there is no real indication of who made the post, or how I am supposed to be able to find out.

2. Once I know what tables to look into to find him, how do I "repair" the tables so he shows up as the registered user I think he is?

Thanks in advance for helping me with this. It really is stumping me!

Just for curiosity, do you have the Forum (not the module but the forum he is posting in) set to registered users only to not allow Guests to post? About the only way you could try to hunt him down would be to look at the IP he posts from and try to match that IP to whomever you believe he is. If his IP is dhcp, then that may not work. The 2 questions may still need to be answered, but answer mine first Laughing

I checked, and all of the forums (I looked at all of the permissions) are set to registered users only for posting. From what I can tell, he seems to be coming from AOL?!?, so tracking him from an IP address is difficult at best...

Any other takers as to how to ID this guy?

Are you looking in the Forum Admin screen when you see this 'Guest'? If so, is there a valid User also with the same IP?

I have not tried that, but I will. I will have to try to catch this guy, to see if I can find him/his IP.

Thanks for the idea!
