After a user is deactivated, other users should not have any access to the deactivated user's information, profile, etc.
In the User Information block, if you click on the little icon next to a recent user that has been deactivated you see that this user has, in fact, been deactivated. However, if you click on the "username" you get to see the profile, to wit:
Membership:
Latest: (icon)(username) JamesSmith
I think this should be eliminated when a user is deactivated - no further info available.
Those are removed but doesn't affect the profile. Now .. if the deactivated user's link is still avaiable in the "Latest" field is what concerns me. If another user registers then this point becomes moot and the deactivated user is no longer in "view". I would like to see a more complete deactivation as opposed to actually removing the user as removing the user is not the same as deactivation. The user could re-register if only "removed". There are of course more ways, such as blocking an IP or IP range but this takes time. Can also block at the server level as well.
Any thoughts/comments on the subject? There are those of us that run user-intensive sites where banning is of importance.
