I updgraded to 7.1 and now if I try to log in as admin I get the "Be gone" message.

I haven't added anything new, just upgraded.

The only allowable characters in an Admins name are

a-zA-Z0-9_-

Are you trying any others?

Yes I was. I am not getting the begone message but I still can't log in. Anything else I am doing wrong? I am using chatserv's 7.1 and his patch.

If you have both a user and an admin by the same name, change them both via phpMyAdmin in the authors and users tables.

So when you upgraded, you ran th upgrade sql scripts and overlayed all of your 7.0 files with 7.1? Were you using a standard 7.0 or my customized 7.0?
