Two sites on new server, both 2.4.0.1 and the same htaccess file.
If I type the url on one domain, I get:
| Quote: | You do not have permission to access the requested file
Hint: The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it
Authorization will not help and you SHOULD NOT repeat the request as you may be banned |
Doing the same thing on the other domain, I get simply "Sorry, this module isn't active". |

The second site is trying to use the built in error document handling in RN. You need to active error documents if you want that to work.
Are you sure that htaccess files are exactly the same because if you do not want to use error documents you need to removed the error document stuff in the htaccess file. |

htaccess files are identical, more than likely you nailed the problem. Thanks |

errordocuments enabled on both sites and htaccess files are identical.
Site #1: Nice looking block in the middle of the page ...
ERROR: 403 - Forbidden
You do not have permission to access the requested file
Hint: The server understood the request, but is refusing to fulfill it
Authorization will not help and you SHOULD NOT repeat the request as you may be banned
Your IP : xxx.xxx.xxx
Page Requested : /.htaccess
Agent : Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727)
Redirect Status : 403
On site #2:
Admin blocker notice that my IP has been banned, but in actuality it isn't.
Doesn't really matter tho, either way the message is quite clear enough.
Cheers |

Actually the "anomaly" is yours truly. "Cache, cookies, history" has a lot to do with this ... Both sites now show the nicely boxed error ... |
