service to check validity of email addresses?

I haven't looked into it too far but it looks feasable and would require a YA config to be nice but thats pretty easy.

Yes, I added it to a version of Feedback module and some other things at one point as well as using it in an old Wordpress based website (back in the days when it was a plug-in, not part of the core).
With tens of thousands of posts, I had maybe one false positive and less than a handful slip through the net.
I still maintain it is one of the most effective third party anti-spam solutions around. If you want to use it just to 'kill' bad data submission, integration is extremely simple. It takes a bit more thought to implement it fully as you need to be able 'flag' submissions as ham or spam to utilise it to it's fullest.

Didn't do anything to me but disrupt my browsing (I love my Opera!)...... anyway its a must to be vigilant browsing anywhere with a java enabled browser!
