Replace hardcoded URL with var

How do you create a URL out of a var?

example...
Hardcoded...

Created with $vars...
$var1/$var2/$var3/index.php

How do you do that?

Feel free to point me to an example somewhere. I could not come up with the search term to find one.

This is really what you want unless there is supposed to be something between the ."".
