Although his day is almost done, if you are so inclined, you might want to give Guardian2003 a happy birthday wish!
Happy birthday G-man!!! |

Thank you all for your kind thoughts, birthday wishes, emails, not to mention the hammering my Facebook account got lol.
At 48 I still know how to have a good time but I must confess, the definition of 'good time' does seem to change over time. The day was certainly helped along by 2 bottles of a local 'cure all ills medicine' called Slivovica, which is a locally (home) distilled, 65% proof fire water similar to vodka.
I don't normally drink but forced myself to, under the assurances from the man that made it, that it was good to aid digestion
A special thanks to a lovely Slovak lady (Agi) whose parents own a farm, in supplying some 'smoked ribs'. I certainly wasn't expecting a full pigs rib cage but I did my best
I should also give a very special thanks to whomever was in charge of the weather yesterday. My German Shephard dog had promised to take me skiing but we both chickened out when it dropped to -20C, which I'm secretly grateful for as after eating half a pig, I didnt really feel up to bouncing around in the snow. |
