(I tried to post this in the phpbb section but clicking New Thread kept taking me to My Account...)

My question is:

Can I take out of the forums in ravennuke, all the users and tables and posts etc. and install a phpbb3 forum and convert it all accross so it will work, and continue to work for new users etc. ?

Yes, but not just ipso facto Wink. You will need to write scripts to move the information to the PHPBB format. This is not a RavenNuke(tm) issue, per se. It would be the same for converting any forum table entries to a different forum structure.

I've already googled it, but everything is based on normal phpnuke etc.

I'm trying to determine whether it is the same for ravennuke, and whether it is actually possible.

Does someone want to get paid to do this for me?

I meant Google 'ipso facto' killing me Of course it's possible! I don't know if anyone has coded it, though. If I were you I would take the phpnuke scripts and just modify them for the RavenNuke (tm) Schema differences Smile

Yea i worked out what ipso facto was and jumped back to the original question.

I think there's one possible script for it and i have emailed someone to ask how much it would cost to get them to do it.

If anyone here has every done this, please pm me a quote for you to do it for me.

I want to install a standalone phpbb3 forum and bring accross the current posts and users from my ravennuke install.

Pan, just install phpbb2 (and phpbb3) on a separate install/database. Then in phpmyadmin move the corresponding nuke_bb* tables to phpbb2.nuke_users requires some cutting but in the end it will work just fine Smile
phpbb3 has an upgrade script to do that.
I've done this twice , because I didn't want my users to feel abandoned while i was upgrading from futurenuke to ravennuke.

There's a simpeler methode i did before.
make a backup of your nuke_users table then copy this backup and rename the table to nuke_bbusers.
Download phpbb3 and you see in the installer a tab saying convert...

Smile

There's 1 tip check your group preferences for the nuke users , they must be setted to 3 not to 1 or 2 , else all your users go be an admin.

Someone (sorry, cannot recall who, but its in the news articles here) has created a bridge from *nuke to PHPBB3 and another someone has created an integrated version. Each were posted as news articles here on Raven's site a few months back... try the Google search above selecting raven's site and use PHPBB3 in the criteria...
