I swear I should get "Special needs member" title!

Ok quick and to the point...

I'm having a log in loop issue in both admin AND member log ins. I know there are 1831 posts about this issue before me and I have done my best to sort through them to find my solution but to no avail.

When I try to log in it just "resets" the log in page. When my CAPTCHA was on it would give me a new code (again looping a new code each attempt). I read in one of the topics here that it was a CAPTCHA issue...so I shut it off. Didn't help.

I read here of it being cookie issues....I cleared my cookies etc. No help.

I even reuploaded my module folder and again....no fix....

This isn't a new install....there have been no mentionable coding edits....pretty much I had a new member try to join and they couldn't....so I signed out of admin and member and tried to make an alias to test log in.....the loop began and now I can't log back in and no one else can join.

If any of you could point me to correct thread for the solution that would be great....if you could post here that would be great aswell.

naw ie is garbage.....the user that initially presented the issue was using ie though...I tested through ff.

I always use ff so it doesn't seem to me that my browser choice would matter being that it worked one day and not the next.....no updates on my side were done.
