So I have PHPnuke 7.9 and I have Nuke Sentinel almost installed. I chmod .htaccess and the others to 666 but then they disappear from root? is that supposed to happen?
When I hit save in nuke sentinal I get "File does not exist or is not correctly CHMODed." |

You are using your FTP client to CHMOD them on the server?
No they shouldn't disappear unless your ftp client is configured to 'hide' system files but if that were the case, you would not have been able to see them to upload them. |

Upload the .htaccess file again - if it has really gone then you may need to contact your host as that should NOT happen - ever!
If you are prompted to 'do you want to over write' then the file is there, you just cannot see it for some reason.
What FTP client are you using? |

Does your webhost allow .htaccess? I think some don't. |
