Seems like a strange topic for here - sorry if it seems off.
a friend of mine is trying to convert a ravennuke site to a wordpress site. Does anybody know of a method for this?
other than manually
he wants to get his content / news etc - not worried about comments
cheers |

I don't really know WP all that well, but I got to thinking that maybe if you can find something that will take an RSS or ATOM feed INTO WP, you could use nukeFEED(tm) to pull in both articles and comments (would just need to remove the restriction on the number of articles/comments to pull in. |

I just wrote...or rather, threw together some hackish php code that will convert programmed stories, stories, comments, views, and category images over to wordpress. it's not pretty, but it works for my purposes.
I'm going to hold on from releasing it openly because of the nature of this site and for fear of opening the flood gates (of conversions and SUPPORT OF THE SCRIPT!!). If anyone wants to contact me directly, I will most likely share it. |
