If you was to tell a friend that was really interested in learning PHP. Would it be a book title, a website, a Class, etc? This friend says he has basic HTML/PHP knowledge and a mild case of dyslexia But, he learns well by following directions or tutorials with lots of pictures.
His goal is to be able to understand how to structure a module from start to finish with today’s php standards.
He could search forums, look at code, tear up his test site tell he is blue in the face. But, if he doesn’t know what he is looking for or understand what he is looking at. Your friend isn't ever going to see a finished idea or be able to fix anything on his own.
Please guide your friend Rick Leigh to a good path of mastering php like the great Raven and his Partners. This stuff is fun to me and I could play with my site all day.
Well a phpNuke module is different from a generic PHP code. There are really numerous tutorials online. I wouldn't say phpNuke is the best code ever written, but it isn't a bad start if you don't want to do it "from scratch"
