I got a quick question that for some reason cannot be answered on another site I won't mention because it must be too simple/trivial or something of that sorts.
I was thinking about doing a fresh install of PHP-Nuke on my site. However, when I do the fresh install, I don't want to lose the members list. Only, I don't know what to save. Under modules, there is the Members_List folder, but I don't know where the real list is stored. Is it in the sql tables?? Anways, I just wanted to ask you that because you've helped me a lot in the past.
Also, I have links to your sites on my website, but I am rusty on my html, could you let me know how to use the pictures as links? Thanks again if you can.

The members are stored in the MySQL tables, so not to worry If you are upgrading, be sure to run the upgrade scripts.
Pictures as links? You mean to click on an image instead of a hyperlink? If so, do this.
As for the sql tables, I was wondering if you know the specific ones. I'm not just upgrading, I'm gonna delete everything off the server and start from scratch, but if I'm able to just replace the sql tables with the users already in them, then I don't lose my 157 members. (not quite as many as 3600, but enough that I don't wanna lose any)
Also, have you heard anything about PHP-Nuke 7.0 Alpha? Is it any good? Should I try to find that and use it, or will there be like nothing that works with it because it is so new...?

Are you not concerned about posts either? How about News? If you truly are scrathching everything except users, then just backup the nuke_users table and as long as you are upgrading from 6.5 to greater than 6.5, you should be able to use the table with no changes.
As to 7.0 Alpha stay as far away from that as possible! Look at how quickly FB was releasing 6.6, 6.7, 6.8, 6.9! When 7.0 becomes production, then it might be worth looking at. This is just my opinion.

Uh oh...
A can of worms has been opened
Alright, yes, I'm concerned about backing up posts and news as well, let me take a stab in the dark.
Nuke_users, Nuke_posts, Nuke_posts_text, and then... I'm not sure what else I'd need...
I know one of these tables is tainted with a 'fix' i tried to implement in order to sort modules, but the fix did not work. I can't view new added modules now, and there are tables I know I added and don't need that I want to get rid of. That's my main reason for a fresh install, that and there's lots of stuff on the server I don't really need.
Edit: Oh, I'm on either 6.8 or 6.9 now, and I plan to use 6.9 for fresh install, so the users table should transfer over.
But, stories relate to articles which relate to topics which relate to categories, etc. If it were me I would try a fresh install of the files. Then olny replace the nuke_blocks and nuke_modules tables and see where that leaves me.

I deleted all files, uploaded new ones, CHMOD'd config to 777, but can't get to it cuz of the error
Warning: Failed opening 'themes/Helius/theme.php' for inclusion (include_path='.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/pear') in /home/virtual/site28/fst/var/www/html/header.php on line 31

I really don't mean to bother you on your personal site, but I don't have a week to wait for some half-a__ed response on that other site.

This is my OFFICIAL support site. Always ask questions here
Use phpMyAdmin. Edit the nuke_config table. Find the column Default_Theme and change it to DeepBlue, making sure that you have a theme folder called DeepBlue. Did that help?
