Greetings,

I recently noticed that every time NS blocks an IP address and writes it to .htaccess it writes the deny from IP on the same line as the previous deny from IP. Example below:

deny from xxx.xxx.xxx.
deny from xxx.xxx.xxx.deny from xxx.xxx.xxx

In turn I have to go into the .htaccess file and put the deny from IP into the new line, otherwise the server doesnt recognize the new blocked IP address. I'm not sure whats going on, or why NS does this. Can anyone assist me on this if possible?

Currently running RN 2.30.00 / NS 2.6.01

Thank you

I don´t see this behavior at my testsite but I had this issue a time ago with a previous version of NS.

Add two empty lines after the latest deny from xxx and check again your .htaccess. Maybe it helps.

Ok I'll give that a try and see what it does.

Thanks for the reply.

Hmm, it seems that it wont save the two empty lines. I would enter twice right after the last deny from line and save but when i reopen to make sure there are two empty lines, it doesnt show the two empty lines i created.

Are you using a text editor that does not read Unix line feeds?

I use the text editor that's built-in on the cPanel. On my pc i use Notepad++ but most of the time I use the built-in editor.
