Morning,

previously had 6.8 with 204, patched as I thought it should be, with Ken Arnold's Approve_Membership hack working fine.
Then tried to install event_calendar, it messed with the db, tried to drop db entries and ended up with a buggered site - moral - don't let me play with db's!
Found your pre patched offering and thought that'll do. Tried 6.9 but the approve mod didn't work with it, so went back to 6.8.
What I would really like is to be able to use you Site Nav block/module - most of my site visitors are'nt going to be net savvy, so hiding some of the choices would be better for them!!
The site has to have the approve member module, it's for an Aspergers Syndrome support group and as such will have a lot of very personal info, therefore we want to make sure that only those users who have joined the group, or professionals we invite, have access to the inner workings.
Now then, the issue is that as soon as I install your mod, the page loses it's left/centre/right column formatting and displays everything in a central column!!

Any thoughts please? Happy to upload the block to show you:

That is strange. That block is just reworked code from the supplied block. I simply place the entries from the modules database table in a select block as opposed to listing them individually. I'm not too sure that the approved member module is the problem. It could be clashing with something else although I can't understand how at this point. Check your server error_log to see if the server is catching any kind of an error.

Hi,

slight problem in that I can't see the error logs?!! Got the host looking into it but it just hangs!! In it now Smile Just says "
File does not exist: /home/Domain/public_html/pixel.gif
Also got Ken looking at it.
Questions: Kens mod involves changes to the /admin/links folder (addition of 1 script, no mod to existing), extra image in /images/admin, complete overwrite of the /modules/Your_Account module and addition of /modules/Approve_Membership module.

Can you let me/us know of any security/mods changes that exist in your patched 6.8 that aren't in the standard 6.8 (as bought from the phpnuke club), that may conflict with the Approve_Membership changes shown above?

Ta in advance

Lardy

Look in the fixlog-Raven file that is included. That will tell you anything I touched.

Morning,

sorted!!
The error log didn't show anything untoward at all, but I asked for someone else just to look at the site at something else that I had a problem with and they pointed me in the right direction.
Fixed that problem, which put all the files in the right places (must overwrite all!!) and just thought I'd give your site nav mod one more bash and hey presto Embarassed

Thanks for the assist Raven, nothing wrong with your mod (but you knew that already Wink ) just me being a plank.

Cheers
