I'm having a lil confusion here concerning Avatars... I've got phpBB's Gallery, Uploading, & External Links of Avatars all Enabled. I've manually CHMod'd the permissions of the modules/Forums/images/avatars/ & the gallery subdirectory 2 '777'. But I'm running in2 alot of 'Permission Denied' errors (Error # 13).

Specifically, I'm getting an error w/ the user_cpavatar.php when referencing avatar_gallery_path & also Your_Account/index.php when accessing 'modules/Forums/images/avatars/'. Thus the reason 4 my CHMod'ing to 777. I've confirmed I've got no .htaccess filez anywhere in the path.

I'm running phpBB 7.3, Patched 2.4, & Hack Alert. I must B doing something wrong here. Anyways, any direction is much appreciated!

Thanx!

Have you changed EACH of the folders to 777? You need to, not just the last one.

After thinking about it further, I got a bit ancy in using a 777 permission... so I've disabled both the Gallery & Uploading of Avatars. All avatars have 2 B external now. Rather not live through obscurity Confused

P.S.
Is the Quick Reply hack of phpBB been taylored 2 phpNuke, or can I just have some happy hacking as if phpBB were independant? Thinking about it Idea

Thanx 4 your quick response!
