I had the same problem on a nuke 8.0 install, which is what brought me to try raven...but after finally getting raven-nuke installed I still have same issue.

When I click add a new user and fill out the details and submit, I get sent to a blank page (url reads admin.php and if I click in url box and hit enter I go back to admin page, If I click refresh I still get blank page.

user table and temp user table are both empty.
errors are turned on in config but I havent seen any.

I have searched this forum and found several reports of the same issue, but have not found a fix.

Can anyone here help? I thank you in advance for your time.

So you are trying to add a new user through the Admin Control Panel?

Can you confirm your setup, PHP, mySQL versions etc.

Please can you also check your logs on your server.

I have a bad download or something.

I am looking at a handfull of dirrent .php .css .txt files in notepad and most have funky characters in them, if I open in wordpad they are not there...I think that means its a bad dl?

No, notepad is really bad for editing your files, which could be your problem.

There are a number of free editors out there for editing your files, if you search the forums you will see them discussed.

I would start with a clean config.php and edit using a different editor then re-upload.

You might want to download the distro again, just to rule that problem out. Also there could have been an error when uploading your files to the server, so double check that you have all the files on your server. Most people recommend using Filezilla for FTPing your files.

Another thing you might want to try is setting your site up on your computer before uploading. You can run a test site on your computer using XAMPP.

I hope this helps.
