Unfortunately that theme does not include a theme for the forums and therefore it would need to be coded.

You may want to post in the For Hire forum.

Just so you know, if there is not a forums directory inside the theme, forums will use SubSilver which is the standard "template" for Forums. So you don't absolutely need to do a Forums version of the theme if you are satisfied with SubSilver for the Forums.

I think this is the greeny/black theme which I have already re-coded for XHTML Compliance and yes, it does not have a forum template to match the theme.

The theme i mentioned above is very nice ( according to me:P)~! Yes! the theme doesn't have a forums directory in it. It is using the default forums theme (SubSilver). But I wonder why the forums is totally changed ( visibility) while using this theme. Some pages including News Archives, are also not good.! Well, Guardian2003, can you please educate me more? Maybe i can get a copy if you have already recoded this theme:) You can login and check at

Thats cause the stylesheet from the theme is overwriting some of the standard css classes and elements. To fix this you will have to manually edit the theme's css file but would take you some time.

Btw those admin icons in that theme are pretty nice, I editted them to replace my existing icons and spice them up a little, so thnx for bringing up this theme Cool

(Treasury, Shoutbox and Sentinel were non-existing so had to do a little cut and paste + use a little magic Wink )

Hi Everyone,

I am using Raven Nuke version 2.20.01 for my website.

I have tried using the themes at the website

but none of them appear to work.

I did note on one of the websites pages that it explained the themes worked on PHPNuke Version 8.1 and wonder if this is the reason they apparently will not work with Raven Nuke.

I also note that the theme has considerably more files included than the 'regular' themes, so again wonder if this is an indication that these themes are not compatible.

To confirm, when I upload one of the themes from the

website and select it, I do not get the usually reported 'blank' page. Indeed the page is 'blank', but instead it is more 'empty', (i.e the page isnt just a white blank default page, but it is an 'empty' page with a light colored background).

Has anyone else had problems using these or can anyone identify what may be causing them to not work?

HI,
i have converted this themes from ethaidesign for Raven Nuke @

I have added forums templates,
and fixed CSS bugs ( this is the problem, why the Themes does not work with Raven Nuke, Raven Nuke is CSS validated and switch the browser to standard comliance mode. In this mode the browser dropped wrong CSS and other declarations.)

The fixing of the errors and adding forums templates is hard work and i have this themes in my download area and demo site for Subscribers.

I have found the themes usually work out of the box in RavenNuke. As Spiders says there are compliance errors, but they usually display without a problem.

Hi Montego, Spiders and Jakec,

Thank you for responding to my recent post about this topic.

It is always ideal to receive a reply from more than one person, particularly with issues like this, because it helps solve any issues much quicker.

Specifically, had Spiders been the only person to respond, his information would have made me simply think I was experiencing problems because the themes in question were not compliant with Raven Nuke when they are initially delivered/downloaded and that they MUST be modified.

However, while the non compliance information is appreciated, Jakec's reply made me think twice.

Jakec's advised that he has no problems with the themes working 'out of the box' forthwith, so this made me wonder even more what could be causing problems, particularly as my installation of raven Nuke 2.20.01 is new and as yet, unmodified, with no add ons etc.

Now, when originally installing the new Raven Nuke software, I had a few problems with my original hosting company, (Yahoo Small Business), moreover Raven has pointed out they are using archaic versions of PHP and PHPMyAdmin etc and I had to make a slight specific modification to one of the raven Nuke 2.20.01 files for it to work.

Subsequent to the Yahoo Small Business issues, I recently decided to upload the raven Nuke 2.20.01 to some alternative webspace I have with GoDaddy.com to do some comparisons and see if the raven Nuke 2.20.01 would work without the same modification as I needed with the Yahoo Small Business installation. Indeed no modification was required with the raven Nuke 2.20.01 using the GoDaddy.com hosting account.

This made me realise that depending on which host you are using, something, (whatever it is), is (set up) different with the hosting companies system and means that you can have problems with an installation with one web hosting company but that exact same/identical installation would work OK with a second/other hosting company.

So working with this knowledge, my original post in this topic was made after trying to install these themes on my Yahoo Small Business hosting. After reading Jakec's comments, I decided that the only thing to do was try installing the themes with my second (GoDaddy.com) web hosting to see if the hosting system issues had anything to do with this problem.

I am happy to report that indeed, the installation of raven Nuke 2.20.01 (with my second installation/hosting company, GoDaddy.com), allows me to install and use the

themes with no issues.

Although I have limited knowledge on web hosting matters, with this latest issue and evidence, it is my opinion that it is the Yahoo Small Business hosting system that is failing to perform. After all, this is the common 'link' with various problems I have encountered when using it to host raven Nuke 2.20.01.

Thanks again everyone and I hope that this (rather protracted) further posting helps others and saves them time with any such issues they experience.

Sorry to say, though, that we have also had a re-occurring theme (no pun intended) with folks having problems using GoDaddy. I cannot recall specifics, but you almost always get what you pay for. Hope it goes better for you there than with some others.

For one, GoDaddy doesn't seem to allow opening sockets, so that precludes some scripts like NukeTreasury from totally working.

Hi again Montego & Gremmie,

Indeed I am not suggesting GoDaddy hosting is 'faultless', because it is not.

I have read all the postings and problems reported where people have attempted to use the GoDaddy free hosting, (that is supplied when you purchase a domain name from GoDaddy), to serve/host their (Raven) PHPNuke website.

I too have problems when using this hosting option and have found that 'out of the box' the Raven Nuke software does not work.

However, if like myself, you pay for the GoDaddy hosting, (which also removes banner advertising from the web space/hosting), then Raven Nuke software works like a dream.

So just to clarify, as other people have commented in previous posts about GoDaddy FREE hosting, it does appear that the 'technology' they use to place the banners on the free hosting web pages, prevents PHPNuke from working.

nagahosting, which particular theme were you looking at? I know a couple of other people have converted some of the themes to make them compliant and they might be willing to pass them on. Wink
