its about the root nuke folder....

I Think I got everything set up db wise for the uploading of raven nuke....I have MySQL pre-installed. I hope there is no issues with this.

But Im not quite sure as to what the root nuke folder would be.

I am fairly new to nuke/php. But I still can read through it and understand a fair bit about it.

The root folder would be...... www? or the base folder on the ftp?

Also should I change anything in the rnconfig.php file?

It can depend on your setup. Your host should be able to tell you.

If you're using cpanel it might be the public_html folder.

Also there shouldn't be any need to change anything in the rnconfig.php file for the initial setup.

Yeah im using cpanel, my host is site ground. So I should upload to the public_html folder?

There may be differences of opinion but I would recommend that you create a folder below public_html ... call it html or rn or whatever and then put what's in the html folder of the distribution in there. You can put the other folders that are at the same level as html in the distribution (e.g., INSTALLATION) also under public_html at the same level as html. This gives you more options for other software besides Nuke on your site. Or someday if you ever want to test a new release you can put it at the same level as html and still be in business.

Also I will be adding my own theme of course.... So I hope that this way you are talking about wont upset me putting in another theme.

Not exactly, as they say.

Your root for general web purposes is public_html. "Root" doesn't really have a specific meaning that I know of.

Your root for Ravenuke could then be /public_html/rn .. or you could make it /public_html/html. Most of the stuff that you need in RN is in the /html folder on the distribution so you need to do equivalences. If you make your root for RN be /public_html then the equivalence would be /html to /rn. If you make it be /html then it would be /html to /html. This gets kind of tricky when you are doing FTP type transfers ... you want to make sure for instance that you are transferring from /html to /html. If you target the public_html directory on your server and say to transfer the whole /html folder you will be fine. If you create a html folder on your server and then point to that and say transfer /html from your PC to /html to your host you are likely to wind up with public_html/html/html and all the files within that. No big deal but you will probably want to use cpanel to undo that extra level.

Only problem I am having right now is the CGI authing. It likes to lock me out. I fallowed. Has there something changed since the quick guide? Its like the passwords and the user dont exist for admin.

Like I said im a novice... I should include the info to this post.

It seems when I add the code to the .htaccess, it then props a windows login. At this point It seems sentinal file cant read the .htaccess. I am on a cgiAuth, its the only one my provider has.... I think.

Also, I would like to thank you all again. This install is running nice.
Perfect program so far what I think. I also know that my first page ran on ravennuke. I know how great sentinal is. I get tons of Referal bans in my email daily.

revision, my only suggestions at this point are:

1) For setting up NukeSentinel do not rely on the "Quick Guide". There is a comprehensive explanation of this within the HowToInstall manual which came inside your RN distribution.

2) I'll bet you $100 that 99% of all NukeSentinel setup issues have been covered in these forums, so if you find yourself stuck, do please search the forums for your particular issue. If you cannot find the answer, I would post your questions / issues in the NukeSentinel specific forum.
