So I have set Raven Nuke locally on a WAMP server and have now moved it all over to my host in a sub-directory for testing

I dumped the working DB into a SQL file which I then uploaded onto my host - No real problems there.

Then I ftp'd all my files up to my host. No problem here.

I checked the config.php which is fine.

So I go to test my site and I have a totally blank page. I check the page source and again totally blank. I can load the favicon.ico and the 40x.shtml pages but can't get anything else. If I reference index.php directly still nothing, if I reference mainfile.php it redirects to a blank index.php

Any suggestions at what I might look at?

Turn on error reporting in config.php and check your server error logs.

Yeah, what you are seeing is a symptom of a bad ftp upload (among other things). I know that montego and I both use filezilla, it is pretty reliable.

I used Filezilla in the end but this must be the slowest FTP client I have ever used. Took nearly 4 hours to upload 60mb and I have a 500k uplink.

The package I had a problem with was SMARTFTP and I am using this as I run Vista and I struggle to find FTP clients that work.

p17blo, there is nothing slow about the FileZilla client. You were probably experiencing other network or server issues (load).

Glad you got it working though nonetheless.

I've had no speed issues with FileZilla either. But glad you got it working.

Well the speed issues seem to be related to the default 2 connections. Since increasing to the max 10 connections the uploads seem to be a lot better.

What do you mean by "server error reporting"? Your error reporting is controlled by settings in config.php and rnconfig.php as is detailed extensively here in other threads you can search on ("error reporting"). There is also documentation in those files about how to activate it. If you are talking about server error logs, I would talk to whoever runs the server. Almost all have something available for that.
