Hello,

I'm really new to nuke ... i'm running nuke 7.1 i migrated to 7.1 from phpbb2 (forget which version)

here's what i got.

if you set your avatar from the forums account it works fine. If however you set it from the your account>your info account manager it comes up with a red x

now after a few hours digging thru the db and looking thru page source, etc.. heres what i've come up with so far.

when an avatar is set thru the forums profile, it stores the avatar as "gallery folder/image" for example gallery/mordikar.jpg.

if you set the avatar thru the nuke "your account" page it isn't saving the gallery folder name just the image name.

on top of all this in the "your account" section you get [list] whish shows no avatars at all as i believe it is looking at the /modules/forums/images/avatars directory and not all the way into either of the gallery directories ... and a drop down menu with JUST the avatars in the folder "gallery" in the drop down list. at the curent point in time i have 2 avatars galleries one called "gallery" and one called "users" (this is the one i copied over from my old bb2 installation).

is there any way to fix this? i think this may be what's causing MOST of my avatar issues ...

the next issue i have is that i have one user .. who even if i go in and manually set the db entry as gallery/kingmonkey.jpg it still shows a broken image ... and looking thru the page source i/m findig that it is not putting ANYTHING in for his avatar ... it just drops in

<img src="" width="" height = "" .. etc >

but places nothing in any of the quotes?

and finally ....... and i promise i'll stop after this ...

in phpbb2 i used to be able to set my users avatars ... i can't do this now. WHY????

this is only really important because my forums are for a game .. and our forum users who are part of our squad have medal bars as avatars where we award them medals. i have to keep these upated and when we get new members i have to create and assign thier medal bars. The way it's working now i have to go in and mess with the db's to assign medals ... and i'm not certain if it'll work or not given the problems i'm having with kingmonkey's avatar... I haven't had a new members to tes manually assigning avatars in the db yet.

any how is there any thing you guys know of to help me out here?

oh and i was looking for chatserv's avatar cp .. but i can't seem to locate it where is that found at?

thanks for any help you can give me..

Or searching google thier are several fixes posted for it.

As far as setting thier avatars you could do it through the admin>Forums>managment or you could try locating a mod to do it. There are several that add images to the users name maybe you could just alter one to suit your purpose. Try

um ... how exactly do you do this? I'm looking at user management (which is how i used to set thier avatars if i remember correctly) and it's only giving me the option to delete. is there a bb2 hack i need or something?

I apologize you can only delete or put in a link to an offsite avatar. Although adding the other options would not be too diffucult let me see how my time is maybe i could make something up.
