Hi All!

I just upgrading my test system to 2.10 and everything seemed to have well. However, all I see in the CP is the icon for the old banner module with the text _BANNERS, which tells me the text is not getting translated. Clicking on it, I get into the old banner admin (or so it seems).

I must admit that up to now I was using the old banner module, so this is not necessarily an upgrade problem. The Advertising module existed on the previous system (at least the directory was there). However, I cannot see a way to call up the new functions. For example, in the admin/case.php file I see ad_plans, but explicitely specifying the option like this:

modules.php?name=Advertising&op=ad_plans

just brings be to the module start page.

Knowing the quality of the software Raven and the rest put out, I am pretty
confident that this is not a bug and I missed a step somewhere, but I cannot find it. I would appreciate a kick in the right direction.

regards,

jimmo

Yes, the old advertising module has been replaced and therefore if you are upgrading then you will probably have some remains of the old module. So I would recommend running something like Beyond Compare to check the file differences and remove any files/folder which are not needed anymore. I believe Gremmie has made a post showing the changes.

To get the new module to appear if you go into the modules configuration and refresh the page you should find the new advertising module appears in the CP.

You have some clean-up to do. (This is also mentioned in the HowToInstall manual under the Upgrade page. It is easy to miss. Most of us do not like to read documentation - me included.)
